Feature Story: Kawang, the Tatoo Expert

Women in the past wore
these patterned/designed prints on both their arms because they thought it
made them look more attractive when they danced the “sagni” to the sound of
the “pattong.” However these tattoos weren’t just carved by anyone.
There were experts who performed these kinds of tasks. The first who was
knowledgeable in the this art form himself went by the name, Kawang. He was
the one who first tried it on the arms of young ladies and when the other
