Moreover, ECOWAM (Ecological Waste Management) officers have been formulated which includes teachers in various respective subject areas. This group manages the segregation in each classroom of the school. They check if wastes are properly segregated as papers (uncrumpled), recyclable materials, and residuals. Moreover, to facilitate the segregation facility in each classroom, ECOWAM student-officers have been assigned.
To manage the segregation in the school, segregated materials in each classroom will be sent to the MRF every 12:15PM and 4:55 PM. The assigned students and teachers in the MRF will collect all the papers, plastic cups and residuals. The papers and plastic cups will be sold to a junkshop as a source of income of each department. Then, the residuals will be collected by the municipal government of Imus to be delivered to the Imus municipal waste facility in Malagasang.
