The Untold Stories of Ivatans


	This is the official entry of Batanes National Science High School for the Doon Po Sa Amin Learning Challenge, a project where teachers and students of Smart Schools Program (SSP) partner schools are encouraged to use computer and Internet technologies to generate web-based information and educational materials about their respective communities.

	Project Description Methodology Team Profile Contact Us Games/Trivia		Project Description: This focus story entitled: The Untold Stories of the Ivatans is an entry to the Doon Po Sa Amin Learning Challenge under the *Literature* category. The stories presented here unfolds the hidden tales of the Ivatans. All these were noted from the Ivatan language and were later translated to English by the researchers.

Methodology:

The Mendel team -09 conducted an intensive research on the original Ivatan stories. This focused on the remaining undocumented tales of the folks. Moreover the narratives presented here were taken particularly from the following towns: Basco, Mahatao , Ivana and Itbud-Uyugan. The group gathered exclusively from the Ivatan folks to assure originality of work. Other background information related to the research were taken from existing resource materials and some publications.
