The municipality of Maragondon has vast farmlands, mountain areas and rivers and the population depend on farm and agricultural products. Therefore, the major sources of livelihood in Maragondon are farming, fishing, logging, handicrafts and charcoal making. Some are into small scale business enterprise; others are factory workers at the nearby municipality of Rosario where the EPZA is located. Some are Overseas Filipino Contract workers (OFWs) helping to upgrade the economic status of the simple and serene municipality of Maragondon.
