Facility is known as the PHILIPPINE
CARABAO CENTER
NATIONAL GENE POOL AND HEAD QUARTERS, of Department of
Agriculture here in the Philippines.
MANDATE, QUALITY POLICY, VISION MISSION, are the different
programs of P.C.C. to improve the general well-being of rural
communities through GENETIC
IMPROVEMENT,TECHNOLOGY
DEVELOPMENT,DIOSEMINATION and,
ESTABLISHMENT OF CARABAO
BASED ENTERPRISE, ensuring the higher income and better nutrition of
rural farming communities
In
1992, after PCAAR – coordinated
FAO, project, the
Philippine government, realize the need to institutionalize the Carabao
Development Program, through the Republic Act 7307 or Better
known as the PHIL. CARABAO ACT of 1992, the Phil. Carabao Center
was born at the law and signed on March 27, 1992 and
operationalized on APR. 1, 1993.
The
Philippine Carabao Center have different services, including the
production of high quality breeding
animals the frozen buffalo semen distribution, technical assistance
and carabao base enterprise.
The Philippine Carabao Center is dedicated to the million of farmers and
those Asian countries who really and will to depend the water buffalo in
their Agricultural endeavors. It conceptualized and Operationalized
during the incumbency of Exec. Director DR. LIBERTADO C. CRUZ
and
inaugurated on the 30th day of July 1998 by
Joseph
Ejercito Estrada, Pres. of Republic the Philippines.
