According to Mrs.
Santiago Vargas, the present Barangay Captain of
Bibiclat, Aliaga, the belief on rituals of Taong Putik
Festival was started on the miracle happened on Japanese
times.
On the Second
World War, the residents of Brgy. Bibiclat was gathered
by the Japanese soldiers so they forced the residents to
tell the truth if they are against them. Because of
fear, nobody admit that they are fighting against the
Japanese rules. As a result, the soldiers decided to
kill them with their guns but a miracle came. A heavy
rain fell and the Japanese soldiers didn’t kill the
residents .Because for them, the rain symbolizes
innocence’s about one crime or a sin.
