The municipality of La Trinidad is located 3 km North of Baguio City and 256 km north of Manila. The terrain is mountainous with springs, rivers, and creeks. La Trinidad’s valley floor elevation is at 1300 meters above sea level and elevation ranges from 500 to 1700 meters above sea level. It has a land area of 8079.51 hectares that is distributed to 16 barangays, namely: Alapang, Alno, Ambiong, Bahong, Balili, Beckel, Bineng, Betag, Cruz, Lubas, Pico, Poblacion, Puguis, Shilan, Tawang, and Wangal.
One hundred eight hectares of La Trinidad is composed of strawberry plantations producing 1,548 metric tons of strawberries. This adds to the income of the municipality making agriculture its top source of income at 35 percent; 23 percent comes from business; 33 percent from employment; and 9 percent from profession.
Aside from La Trinidad’s famous Strawberry Farm, other beautiful sites worth visiting can be seen in the municipality.
* The Benguet Provincial Capitol can provide a panoramic view of La Trinidad Valley, on its left is the Benguet Museum.
* Located right in front of the Municipal Hall is the Municipal Park, the center of community activities.
* The center of marketing activities in the province, the La Trinidad Vegetable Trading Post where highland vegetables are on display for wholesalers and retailers.
* Found between Barangay Alno and Barangay Alapang are the Peril Burial Caves where sacred skeletal remains are laid in a burial cave.
* The center of educational excellence, the Benguet State University located at Barangay Balili.
* The Coffin Cliff Hangers are coffins inserted between cliff stones by the early customary Ibalois.
* Built by the early Chinese settlers is the Bell Church where they offer palm reading and fortune telling.
* Found in Barangay Bahong is the Rose Capital of the Philippines. Other flowers such as chrysanthemums and other cut flowers can also be found in the area.
* Tawang Church of Stone is built of limestone during the American Period by the early Anglican parish.
* For mountain trekkers, the Mount Kalugong View Point offers both views of urban and rural La Trinidad.
