Simangan is now trudging its way to success. These achievements has one reason, the pride of Simangan residents-vegetables .

             V-farm owned by the Locsin-Larrazabal family rises above all the farms in the place since it was high-quality fertilizers that don’t impose harm to the buyers’ healthy.

 

             It uses some tractors to help them harvest the vegetables. The months of December and January are said to be the target season of the 11 workers having a greater harvest.

             According to Fe Moroña, the technician of the said farm, the people can trust on their products because they don’t use insecticides and pesticides. “Our workers do multiple cropping that gives a personal touch to the vegetables”, she added.

Ormoc City is very grateful in having Simangan as one of its barangays. And with the presence of the V-farm , the people can easily attain an inexpensive, nutritious and radical free vegetable products.

             It covers a total of 2.1 hectares with an organic area of 1.1 hectares that uses pure organic fertilizers with the presence of different decomposed waste products, and a semi-organic area of 1 hectare that uses both organic and commercially-available fertilizers.
