Room to Room Awareness Campaign in Olongapo city National high school

            Being involved in a community that you barely know is kind a hard for the team especially the  topic is relevant with economic problems. The researchers chose YAKAP –Subic as our community because it catches their  attention, the first time they heard the stories of the victims so as the experience of the organization just to fight for their right and to get justice. After so many months of deliberation and exchanging ideas they came up with their  plan of action. An awareness campaign in which the community is connected will be the one to share their experiences and ideas to educate the student in toxic contamination in our environment now a day. The Organization is composed of former U.S. Naval Base workers where in after serving the U S Military they it came to their knowledge that the U.S. government had been lying to them all along, they let the workers be exposed to chemicals that after a few years will trigger their health in critical condition. This kind of information is the researchers want to share to the public, this issues are not supposed to be hide from our nation

          On November 26, 2008 the  room to room campaign entitled “YAKAP SA KINABUKASAN” at Olongapo City National High School the researchers have Jose Reandino and Ronnie Ferreras as our speakers.   They shared their knowledge about toxics and the students have been very attentive and very willing to listen and learn. As a part of the future generation the students are totally involved in the state of our environment. If we are not willing enough to care for mother earth we might loose it soon. Hope that this kind of step will help reawaken the patriot ship in their heart  and realize that this is the right time for us to make actions to save the earth.
