The Tiongco Brothers
are the Philippines' top trio that became popular with their harmonious blending of voices and dubbed as the country's answer to America's world famous "Four Aces". They are composed of brothers Jun Fernando, Jr., Emil and Arthur Tiongco. For 48 years, they have been serenading Filipinos and foreigners abroad, and have been proving to the whole world that Filipinos are better singers and performers than foreigners.
The Tiongco family was truly gifted with musical talents, from their father; the late Fernando Z.
Only three years after they started their career here in the country, The Tiongco Brothers decided to perform abroad. They amazed the director of the Ms International Beauty Pageant held at the Araneta Coliseum in 1961 while they were performing "Magandang Bituin" on stage and sooner than they expected, they found themselves singing in Okinawa, Japan.
From doing regular shows in Tokyo by Night and Tokyo Hilton, The Tiongco Brothers flew to Australia in 1972 and were turn out to be the first Filipinos to ever perform at the Sydney Opera House. According to the Tiongco Brothers, performing before a pack of foreigners is exhilarating and that they feel their efforts always pay off because foreigners are very appreciative of Pinoy performers.
The long experience of the Tiongco Brothers in the world of entertainment has given them the flair and polish of outstanding professionals. They are without compare in the manner they give life to songs and their own inimitable interpretations. But for all their success and popularity, they still remain the same humble, friendly and approachable trio. Jun, Emil and Arthur Tiongco - you are all real pride of Santa Rosa.
