FEATURES
Known for its influencial history, great art and magnificent culture, the City of Santa Rosa has been named as the Cultural and Heritage Mecca. Its arts encompasses literature, visual arts and the performing arts, including music and dance. Its rich culture is mainly all about the distinctively human activities and values which show how profound Santa Rosa is.
The Cuartel de Santo Domingo
Port of Santo Domingo is one of the historical landmarks of Santa Rosa. It was established in 1877 in Brgy. Santo Domingo, near the Santa Rosa, Laguna - Silang, Cavite Boundary, as headquarters of the Guardia Civil to contain social banditry and brigandage endemic to the area from the Dominican Haciendas of Santa Rosa and Bi񡮮 It was made to guard the town from possible attacks of rebels from Silang, Cavite. The Philippine Revolution of 1896 might have taken a different turn, if not for the major offensive of Gen. Jose Lachambre y Dominguez, which was launched at the Cuartel de Santo Domingo.
