FEATURES
Known for its influencial history, great art and magnificent culture, the City of Santa Rosa has been named as the Cultural and Heritage Mecca. Its arts encompasses literature, visual arts and the performing arts, including music and dance. Its rich culture is mainly all about the distinctively human activities and values which show how profound Santa Rosa is.
Santa Rosa is a land flowing with milk and honey - rich in natural resources. With God-given talent, the Roseňans show their expertise in different fields. Before, when Santa Rosa was on its way to progress, people's main source of income mainly come from fishery and farming. Others built their own businesses and made their own products. Most of this people put up food- related businesses because of its great demand to costumers. Some of these most famous delicacies are the following:
Pansit ni Mang Pulo
Ice Cream ni Bok
Apa ni Aling Kaya
Okoy
Halaya
Mache (Palitaw- like)
Lumpiang Gulay
All of these were original products made from Santa Rosa. The town people really patronize this products not only beacuse they have to show their support but also beacuse they love its taste. The Roseňans never stop here, instead they pursue their greatest dream - world class products and let the Santa Rosa City be known to the world.
*The following delicacies still exist today but according to elders the Mache is no longer available (recipe is still avilable) because its preparation takes a lot of effort. These foods are featured on the BARAKA festival.
