“We are not exposed just to the United Kingdom or the US. We are spread across the world. This is our insurance against an economic slowdown. We venture to say (Alliance) Tuna is recession proof,” company president Jonathan Dee said.
Dee said Alliance Tuna was expecting sales to grow to $72 million in 2009 from $53 million last year as it completes a new facility in Indonesia that would boost the company's production capacity.
Net income is likewise expected to increase to $4 million from $3 million in 2008.
