Focus Study

Project Description

                  The focus study is all about the Maragondon River: The River of Life. This study focuses on how the Maragondon River will become a great help to the residents of Maragondon and other neighboring towns. The river from which the people of Maragondon depend for food thru fishing will become the source of drinking water in the future.

                The town of Maragondon, especially the local government and the Maragondon Water District, unit paid much attention to the river. They gave their time, effort and money for the improvement and development of the said river.

                They also gave attention in the proposal of foreign investors and they look at it as the way which will make the Maragondon River the river of life.

                Water houses the marine life that becomes food for man and a source for his daily living. This marine life is also being used for man’s recreational, commercial and industrial needs as well as for his financial satisfaction. Moreover, water is used in the various fields of man’s life such as his technological, medical, industrial and agricultural activities. It also runs machinery and aids in the treatment of human diseases. Furthermore, water is used to grow crops and sustain animals for food and business. In addition to this, man makes use of water as a means to transport people, raw materials and other products from one location to another. All these are aside from the fact that water is the primary element for man’s cleaning and sanitation; with clean water, man is assured of a healthy environment and a long, healthy and prosperous life.

        The areas in Cavite that will benefit from the study are the municipalities of Amadeo, Alfonso, General Aguinaldo, General Trias, Magallanes, Naic, Ternate, Tanza, Indang, Maragondon, and the city of Trece Martires.
