Maragondon
Located 54 kilometers south of Metro Manila and elevated 78 feet above sea level. Maragondon lies along the flatlands of the mountain ranges bordering Cavite province and Batangas. At present, Maragondon is the largest town in the province with an appropriate area of 16,549 hectares. The neighboring municipalities are naic on the north, Indang on the northeast, Ternate on the west, Nasugbu, Batangas on the south, Bailen and alfonso on the East and Magallanes on the Southwest. As an agricultural town, the primary means of livelihood is farming and its principal crops include rice, sugar cane, corn, cassava, banana and pineapple,
Being an upland municipality, Maragondon is predominantly mountainous. On the southern side are its well-known mountain ranges, which serve as natural buffers and potent factors for tourism and recreational development. Some of these mountains are Mt. Pico de Loro, Mt. Palay-palay, Mt. Hulog, Mt. Mataas na Gulod, Mt. Nagpatong and Mt. Buntis. Another topographical feature is the Kay Akle Irrigation Dam, which gets its water supply from the major rivers of Maragondon.
Naic
Naic is bounded in the north-northwest by Tanza and Manla Bay, in the east by Tanza and Trece Martires City, and in the south-southwest by Maragondon and Ternate and in the west by Manila Bay.
Ternate
Ternate is located at the southwestern portion of Cavite province. It lies 56 kilometers south of Metro Manila and is accessible by land transportation via the Zapote-Rosario-Tanza-Naic route or by boat from Manila’s south harbor to Ternate non-stop. It is bound in the north and northeast by Manila Bay and naic, respectively, in the east and southeast by Maragondon and in the west by manila Bay.
Tanza
Tanza, formerly known as the barrio of San Francisco de Malabon, used to be a part of General Trias. It is located about 33 kilometers south of Metro Manila. The municipality, which is accessible by land and sea is bounded in the north by Rosario, in the east by General Trias, in the southeast by Trece Martires City, and in the west and southwest by the Manila Bay and Naic, Respectively. Tanza has a temperate climate nad level land which is suitable for the production of rice, corn, sugarcane, cotton, vegetables and fruits. The town is traversed and irrigated by several rivers and creeks, namely Canas River and Putok Creek, Pandan Rivulet, Rio del Obispo, Panadero River and Timalan River.
Trece Martires
Trece Martires City, the capital of Cavite province, is a memorial to the 13 Caviteños who were executed by the Spanish authorities on September 12, 1896, after a summary trial by a council of war, about two weeks after the “Cry of Cavite” on August 31, which actually started the Philippine Revolution. Located right at the heart of the province, it lies 45 kilometers south of Manila, 26 kilometers from Cavite City, the former provincial capital, and 23 kilometers northwest of Tagaytay City. Trece Martires has an elevation of 100 feet above sea level. The capitol stands on the most elevated portion of the city, dominating the surrounding countryside, including Manila Bay. It is bounded in the north by the municipality of Tanza, in the east by General Trias and Dasmariñas, in the south by Amadeo and Indang, and in the west by Naic.
Three dead rivers lying parallel to one another traverse the city north to south. These are the Cañas River located right in the middle of the city, the Pansayan River situated at the eastern boundary separating the city from General Trias and Dasmariñas, and an unnamed river in between the first two rivers which serves as a source of sand.
Amadeo
Amadeo is the municipality located at the southern part of Cavite Province. An upland town with an elevation of 1,400 feet above sea level, it is bounded in the north by Trece Martires City and General Trias, in the east by Silang, in the south and southwest by Tagaytay City and Mendez, and in the west by Indang, its former mother town. It is a two-hour bus ride from Manila, and is accessible either through Tagaytay Highway or by shortcut through Silang via the barrios of Banaybanay and Dagatan via Buho, Talon and Salaban.
General Trias
General Trias is a municipality 35 kilometers southwest of Manila and 18.27 kilometers north of the provincial capital of Trece Martires City. It is bounded in the north by Noveleta, in the east by Dasmariñas, in the south and southeast by Amadeo and Silang, respectively, and in the west and northwest by Tanza and Rosario. Its soil types, ranging from Guadalupe clay loam to Guingua and Magallanes loams, are suited to a wide variety of agricultural crops, including rice, corn and vegetables.
Alfonso
An upland town located at the southwestern portion of Cavite Province, Alfonso is about 32.4 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Trece Martires City, 74 kilometers from Manila via Tagaytay City, and about 3 hours ride by public transport. It is bounded by the towns of General Aguinaldo and Indang in the north, Mendez and Tagaytay City in the east, Batangas province in the south, and Magallanes in the west.
Indang
Indang is located in the south-central part of Cavite Province. It is bounded in the north and northwest by Trece Martires City and Naic, respectively, in the east by Amadeo, in the south and southwest by Mendez and Alfonso, respectively and in the west by General Aguinaldo.Easily accessible from major points within the province and being 12 kilometers south of the provincial capital, it is 75 kilometers from Metro Manila via Tagaytay City or 55 kilometers via Trece Martires City.
General Aguinaldo
The municipality of General Aguinaldo, formerly known as Bailen, has land that is suitable to fruit crops like bananas, santol, and mangoes; as well as commercial crops like coconut, coffee, vegetables, root crops, upland rice and corn. The town lies southwest of Trece Martires City, and is bounded in the north and northeast by Maragondon, in the south and southeast by Alfonso, and in the west by Magallanes.
General Aguinaldo is accessible to and from any part of the province, as well as Metro Manila via the Aguinaldo Highway and the Alfonso-Tagaytay road.
Magallanes
The farthest town of Cavite, Magallanes is located 38 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital of Trece Martires City and is 97 kilometers south of Manila. It is bounded in the north and northwest by Maragondon, in the east and southeast by General Aguinaldo and Alfonso, respectively, and in the south by Batangas Province.
