Fish Sanctuary

                        They say, “All work, no play, makes Johnny a dull boy.” We agreed. We all need to take a rest to recondition ourselves for a while. Even machines do need a rest from a day’s hard labor. Even God himself rested on the seventh day. A rest in which the body is not only recharged but also the mind, refreshed. A rest which allows one to free oneself from the bondage of pressures of the deadlines and reports; A rest which allows one to be with the family and loved ones and enjoy life as it is the most precious gift which is given only for once. Human beings are only a once in a lifetime boarders of this earth. After it, no more. So why not reserve or devote one day for a break?  Why should one be so worried to loose one thing in exchange of a lifetime happy memories with family and friends? It can’t be brought by money and no equivalent monetary amount, only fun and laughter and enjoyment and happy memories

 The next question are how and where to spend the break. For example people, a sound sleep with a soft music background are enough for a rest. For people, pilgrim or a prayer meeting or a seminar or simple a moment of silent for refection and meditation will do. For adventurous people, maybe a mountain climbing or a beach picnic will do. For us, we spend it in Mantigue Island. It is because the atmosphere alone takes us to the maximum level of self fulfillments and enjoyments. It allows us to feel the very essence of living and most of all, the presence of the maker. We are not only enjoying the view but also educating ourselves with the rich and varied marine life underneath. It teaches us the lesson in life which the school cannot provide. It gives us the first hand learning about the props with the cons of living souls and creature; that we do have a connection with each other, a connection by which, if broken, one cannot survive.

Preference matter though, but trying once for a proof will make a difference from your impressions. You can’t judge it by simply looking and viewing at it. It should have to be tested and experience to determine the difference and its lasting effect.

     At present, the management is on the process of reconstructing and renovating the site to provide assurance of abundance of the marine life and to give appropriate recreational activities for all tourists and visitors.

          The inhabitants are moved and relocated for the meantime to some places in Camiguin so that the reprogramming constructions will be made easier and fast so they could finish and polish it as soon as possible. Then after it, people could go back to their old operations in the island but this time with a better system of living, The process- relocation activities- maybe painful but at least, it will be for a better living and for a lasting operation, There might be painful processes of adopting to the new changes in the operations but foe sure, the adjustment period will only last for about a while. Once get used to it, then it will just go through smoothly.

         The next we go to Mantigue Island, for sure, it will be a different one but we are more than willing and ready to take any challenges and changes, as long as we are provided  with the exciting and fulfilling we want and need.

        Take a rest. Take time to play. After all, you don’t like to be Johnny, do you? Besides, our paradise is patiently waiting for you to talk and stroll with. We just want to share our paradise with you. You might not experienced living in one.

       Let us be optimistic. Let us not tremble in fear when it comes to safety because anywhere in the world and anytime of the day as safe as we thought of because nobody knows when misfortune comes. Let us first enjoy and live life as if our last day on earth. Take time to relax and enjoy life while it is in us.
