Why Canaan East called as Land of the
Promise?
In the past year, when the invaders came to
our land Philippines, Canaan East known as the Land of
Promise because of the Roman people who discovered the
beautification and the wealthiest of the place. At
first our ancestor called “Lupang Pangako” the Pampanga
River because Pampanga River is the continuity of the
place of Barangay Canaan East, so Roman suggested that
Canaan East is the “Land of the Promise” because river
is body of water and not land.
It is called as Land of the Promise because
to the richness in resources of the place. Also the
beautification of the place attracted to the invaders to
give them a name “Land of the Promise”.
This place is like paradise that the Lord
promises to the people who showed their good manners and
characteristics after suffering many trials at the top
of the world.
