The Palo-palo Dancers in Action


The first part of the dance depicting the resistance of the natives (in avutag costume) in accepting Christianity from the Spaniards (in white costume).

The second part of the dance called the "bakkal" portraying the natives acceptance of Christianity and harmony with the Spaniards.
