Methodology
The
study aimed to find out if juice fasting could cure hypertension specifically
if there is a significant correlation of the systole and diastole during the
duration of the treatment. It also aimed
to identify some of the short-term side effects experienced by the patients
during and after the treatment.
While
most of the write up was done here in Poblacion, Bontoc, most of the
respondents were patients at St. Theodore’s Hospital in Sagada. Only one
patient is from Bontoc so it was really a costly research because trips have to
be frequent from Bontoc to Sagada and vice versa. Many times, only the team
leader went to Sagada while the others took charge of writing the reports and
doing other tasks.
The
study made use of Pearson formula to determine the correlation of the systole
and diastole of the patient during the duration of the treatment. Furthermore, questioner and interview method
were used to determine the short-term effects experienced by the 4 hypertensive
patients who were the subject of the research.
The patients were to have juice fasting which is made from the purest
extract of organically grown uncooked fruits and vegetables.
