It was choosen among all other business enterprises found in Butuan City because of the unique innovations made by the founder and owner Engr. Roderico B. Cane. The story behind his business success will serve as a good example for others, not to give-up when failures strikes. The group also find his innovations very unique and innovative, appropriate for every filipino people who wants to create a name in business.
Choosing a topic for the Doon Po Sa Amin Learning Challenge is a very hard task. The group had a hard time deciding for the title of their entry. At first. they decided to focus their story on a certain soap business, which by the way, is skyrocketing in the area.
Unfortunately, while they were about to organize their research, the owner of the said business wasn't able to entertain the researchers due to unexpected health problems. Hence, they decided to change their focus study.
To find a possible topic for a focus study is indeed a difficult task, especially in the course of Technology and Livelihood. Thus, they sought of ideas and opinions from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) as well as from people who have more knowledge on livelihood programs.

Taking a look at the past, the researchers and their coach decided to focus their study on local businesses that made great contribution and impact on the lives of the people within the community.
The focus study, entitled "Joy: Genuinely Innovative!" is an entry for the Doon Po Sa Amin Learning Challenge under the Technology & Livelihood Topic Category. The story is about the use of innovative technology in ketchup production, and how it was able to cope up with the marketing demands of the community.
