II. Environmental Programs of the Barangays of Bontoc

A.  Barangay Bontoc Ili: 

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

Led by the purok leaders and SK chairman, every household were asked to do the cleaning of surroundings per sitio for beautification and sanitation.  Done every month. 

Tree Planting Activity

Every year there will be a tree planting activity to prevent landslide and preserve the forest

Tapat Ko Linis Ko Program

Led by the barangay captain, barangay health workers, SK and council members, every household will clean the surroundings to eradicate dengue mosquitoes

Installation of Sign Boards

Sign boards of “NO URINATING” were posted at the strategic sidewalks heading to the different puroks of Bontoc Ili. 

B. Barangay Caluttit

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

Conducting  an operation linis ( creeks, roads, and pathways) to be done quarterly and improving of the dumping site at Lower Caluttit ( SK program)

Sagip Ilog

Cleaning of the creek between upper and Lower Caluttit.  Lead by the SK

Tapat Ko Linis Ko Prog.

A house to house cleaning continues barangay program done with the help of all community.  

Ordinance  of anti-momma

They will be fine P300.00 for the 1st offense and P500.00 for the 2nd

C. Barangay Mainit

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

To prevent forest fires, any person caught engaged in starting forest fires are fined or punished depending on the decision of the baragay officials.

Identified owners of astray pigs are fined with: 1st offense – P100.00, 2nd offense – P200.00, 3rd offense – P300.00

Sagip Ilog

The creek is cleaned every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month. Individuals who are absent will be fined.

Waste Segregation

Every household must separate their wastes to biodegradable and non-biodegradable.

Tapat Ko Linis Ko Program

Every household conduct operation linis with different schedules per sitio.

D. Barangay Maligcong

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

Individuals who violate the clean and green program as explained during the assembly meeting will be warned at first offense then fined with P100.00 at second offense.

Tree Planting Program

Illegal cutting of trees is punishable.

Sagip Ilog

Illegal fishing like using of dynamite is punishable.

Waste Segregation

Though not fully implemented, the waste segregation program is a joint effort of Barangay Health Workers, Barangay officials, Sanguniang Kabataan and the people.

The people are advised to keep their surroundings clean.

E. Barangay  Poblacion

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

( Operation Linis of SK action plan

All premises of household/ establishments/ institutions , and such adjacent road portions or other open spaces corresponding to such premises shall be kept free of filth by the concerned occupants of such household/ establishments/ institutions

No spitting of momma: 1st offense – P300.00, 2nd offense – P500.00, 3rd offense – P1000.00

F. Barangay Tocucan

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

All barangay officials and SK members help in the cleaning of public toilet once a month.  The person who will not join the cleaning will be the next batch who will to clean.

Tree Planting Program

All people should at least plant 10 seedlings or more.  The individual who will not join the planting will be the one who will plant next.  The one who will destroy the trees will replace it 10 times.

Sagip Ilog

Dumping of garbage is prohibited and so is illegal fishing such as use of dynamite &electro fishing.  1st offense- P100.00

Tapat Ko Linis Ko Prog

Conducted by SK members once a month.  Everyone is responsible to clean their own surroundings.

G. Barangay Samoki

Programs

Description and Implementation

Clean and Green Program

Every 3 months, the barangay officials, youth, workers and volunteers will clean their surroundings including the canals to a have a clean, green, & healthy environment.  Those who will not join will be penalized & will provide food for those who are going to clean. 

Waste Segregation Program

To the people know their responsibilities in the barangay, they are reminded of waste segregation but still few are practicing it. There is no punishment for violators.

Tapat ko Linis ko Program

To let the people know their responsibilities for the barangay and to let them do it, they are reminded to clean their surroundings.  They will be the one who will suffer like having dengue.

Tree Planting Program

This is cared by the SK officers and they are to plant more trees in the barangay to prevent soil erosion during calamities.  They will have this activity if they will have a budget. 

Sagip Ilog

The SK will include the river in the clean and green program so that the river will be clean.  Those who will not join will be penalized and will provide food for those who are going to clean.

Dumping site ( near bridge)

A place is allotted to dump our garbage for proper waste disposal.
