Title of Study: Tracking Environmental Awareness in Mainit

Focus Study / Story Description

One of our lesson objectives in Science II is to understand our role as students in maintaining balance in nature. In this learning challenge, we first had to identify the programs of our own barangays that address the environmental issues we are facing. Second, we were to find out the level of awareness of the baranggay captains regarding environmental issues so that we could gauge whether they are really aware of what’s happening. Lastly, we were to obtain copies of the programs, discuss it and suggest ways on how are we going to help promote their program to minimize or prevent ecological problems.

programs. We summarized the results and shared it to other groups in our class who also shared the results of their interview. Then we discussed our role as students to promote the environmental programs of our barangays.

Lastly, we were able to know and consolidate the level of awareness of the barangay captains about environment programs and so with the different programs they have in their own barangays. We made a reaction paper about the topic after viewing all the programs and decided to participate, cooperate, and promote cleanliness in our own homes and barangays.
