BNHS ECOSAN Toilet

Text Box:           An inevitable query among youth's mind on the problem we are facing about pollution around us, in our community and in our environment. Looking for solutions (about this epidemia) to prevent this widespread epidemia, such genius minds end up on this problem free, must have facility known as ”Ecosan”.
This unique exhibition of creativeness was shared and propagated among schools in different places to help preserve the surrounding's beauty and elegance. This is because it recognizes wastewater not as waste but as resources that can be recovered, treated and reused. It also processes human waste to recover nutrients which will be used in agricultural crops, than would otherwise be discarded.
This new breed of conventional toilet is now operational in BNHS, that it has been proven to benefit and to help not just students but also the teachers that are suffering from intense stomach problems and those who wants to deposit some of their helpful ingredients in the body. Though ecosan is not that huge to comply the needs of many, it's helpfulness to the environment will count to save Mother Earth.
Through the support of the Bayawan-LGU ( Local Government Unit), the City Health Office and  the Engineering Departments, we have come up to this ECOSAN toilet which was constructed to our school last November    2008 and it was inaugurated last December 10, 2008. Presently, it was managed by Mr. Julie Espares and Mrs. Rosalinda Nolledo. It was currently used by the students of Bayawan National High School (being one of the beneficiaries of the project).
Indeed, this would be of great help not just to the students but as well as to the environment. If we together would continually adapt this, we are probably helping our environment. We are saving not just ourselves but our Mother Earth for the future generations.
