Methodology

After the problem had been decided, the
group went to the City Tourism Office of Iligan City and
secured second hand information about the 23 waterfalls
found in the city. Considering the accessibility and
safety of the researchers, the group decided to feature Dodiongan Falls since this falls is not yet popularly
known by many compared to Maria Cristina Falls and Tinago Falls.

After
obtaining information, the group went to Brgy. Bonbonon
where Dodiongan Falls is situated. An interview with
barangay officials regarding the primary data about the
community was done. From there, the group proceeded to Sitio Dodiongan and conducted an interview with the
residents who have been living in that place since 1932.
The group tried to look for Lumad residents but found no
one.
The
interview was on the story behind Dodiongan Falls, its
origin and its significance to the community. After
that, the group, together with some residents and a
councilor who guided the group, proceeded to the area
where Dodiongan Falls is situated to have an ocular view
of the majestic beauty of the falls. Taking pictures and
recording videos were done for documentation.
