Demography

Dodiongan Falls (Abaga Falls) is one of the most resplendent and ample water falls that stands 20m (65 ft) high. It is located in sitio Dodiongan, one of the sitios of Brgy. Bobonon, Iligan City, 14.5 km away from the city proper. Dodiongan Falls  is found  about 1.5 km from the Bonbonon proper. However, about 30% of the part of sitio Dodiongan is claimed to be part of Brgy. Digkilaan, a succeeding barangay to Bonbonon.

The mystic beauty of the falls cascades down like a concrete boulder and its tranquil cool water and lush vegetation is a real haven for nature lovers. The pool at the foot of the falls is very ideal for swimming. In fact it is often amplified as a tourist destination. The flowing water comes from the mountainous areas above Bonbonon, traversing through Brgy, Hindang down to Brgy. Kabacsanan river, then cascading down to Dodiongan, Bonbonon. The water falls was called at first as “Abaga (shoulder) Falls” because of its physical feature that looks like a shoulder of a woman with a long hair, but then changed after the name of the sitio Dodiongan.
