Jump with the 3 falling Waters

A place where waters jump gracefully; where waters spark like a diamond, surely, you will find hard to be alone and lonely. Camiguin, though small, it has 3 waterfalls that will surely bring you to life.

KATIBAWASAN FALLS

A beautiful, clear stream of water cascading 70 meters into a rock pool surrounded by ground orchids, wild ferns, trees and boulders. Its cold water provides a refreshing summer splash to all bathers.

Katibawasan Falls is one of the treasured gifts nature has blessed the island of Camiguin. According to the locals, the Waterfalls measures about 250 feet high, cascades to a rock pool surrounded by ground orchids, wild ferns, trees and boulders. The falls rushes down into its green pool that is really refreshing for a good swim. Tourists are welcome to swim. It is an ideal place to cool off during hot and humid days. There is however an entrance fee of 30 pesos per person since the falls is maintained by the province. Giant ferns decorate the surrounding land, carpeting the spaces and huge trees and dropping vines provides the backdrop the falls.

As far as the meaning of the word is concern, I have not found its meaning in Cebuano or Bisaya, but I can relate it with the Ilonggo dialect for the word "Katibawasan" which means: "To have overcome".

TUASAN FALLS

The approach to the wild and might falls entails a very scenic hike passing through the quaint Barrio of Mainit, Catarman and along the rocky river bed. The pool below the deafening waterfalls is deep and clear. The surrounding scenery is virgin and perfect for a peaceful picnic. The only sound you hear is that of the tumbling falls and running water. It is 6 kilometers northwest of Catarman proper.

Compared to Katibawasan Falls, Tuasan Falls is still very natural and in its original surrounding. There are no touristic provisions like shops or cottages. It's a bit off the beaten track but once you make the effort to go there, you will certainly enjoy this beautiful and cool place. Of course there is no admission fee. To reach there, beware that the last part you have to hike for about 25 minutes. So bring your walking shoes and swimming gear.

BINANGAWAN FALLS

In Sagay is Binangawan Falls wherefrom several miniature and gigantic waterfalls gushing through majestic granite stones that converge in one main pool, covered with luscious unspoiled vegetation, and a mystical rainbow is arched by the fall’s mist as the sunlight penetrates through it.
