From Lamp "Tukaro" to Flasher:

Flasher is an electronic gadget which replaces the kerosene lamp in catching squid. Previously, fishermen were catching squid using kerosene lamp. A kerosene lamp when used in fishing at night needs 1 liter of fuel. Using kerosene lamp or torch when fishing is hazardous if you leave it unattended for it might cause fire, and it is not free from pollution due to its fumes and is dangerous to marine species since kerosene might spill to seawater. It can be a contributor to oil spills. That’s the reason why fishermen find another way to catch squid which can be cheaper, environmental friendly, safe, and more convenient.
