Sitio Bundas is just a part of
Barangay Bagumbayan. Barangay Bagumbayan is one of the 21 Barangays of Lupon.
Lupon is a provincial town. It has a magnitude of 123 kilometers from Davao City
and it is 36 kilometers away from the Provincial Capitol which is a 45 minutes
ride by bus and Jeepney. The location is at the southeasthern part of Davao
Oriental, it lies between 6º 52’ and 7º 10’ North latitude and 126 º 15’ east
longitudes. Its boundary is at the North, the municipalities of Manay and
Tarragona, and on the West side of Davao Gulf.

Lupon’s Total land area is
88,639 hectares, classified into alienable/disposable forest lands. Barangay
Marayag has the biggest land area with 12,928.70 has while the smallest area is
Barangay Corporacion with 743 has only. It is composed of 21 Barangays. The
three Barangay namely Don Mariano Marcos, Calapagan and Marayag can only be
reached through passing two Municipalities, namely the nearby Municipality of
San Isidro and Mati. Some of the Barangays have mountainous and hilly terrains.
The residents of Barangay Poblacion comprise one fourth of the total population,
while the three fourth are living in the other 20 Barangays. The Municipality of
Lupon belongs to type II of climate classification in the Philippines. It is
characterized with a maximum rainfall in the high and mountainous Barangays
especially during the months of March and June, July, August and December and it
is not oftentimes experiencing lengthy dry season. The average annual rainfall
in the municipality is 2.83 millimeters in 2003 with the highest in the month of
November with 4.66 and the lowest is April with 0.39
The major livelihood of people
of Lupon is fishing and farming.
