Accessing the files
Since interview is a
process of getting information about a particular topic
from an authority and of getting the sentiments of the
ordinary people through question and answer, the team
exhausted all the possible means to get in touch with
the local authorities and other sectors of the
community. Some interviews were coordinated in advance,
and some were ambushed interviews. Armed with questions,
the research team embarked on a journey to the
different local media groups and government offices to
come face-to-face with the following key informants: Mr.
James Bean & Mr. Bob Pizza of OK FM; Ms. Maxxie Villegas
of Home Radio; News Head for Southern Luzon Ms. Aireen
Perol –Jaymalin of MOR & ABS-CBN TV station ; Station
Manager Bert delos Martires of Campus Radio; and Ms.
Juliet ”Lady Pangga ” of Energy FM for the media groups;
and Local Disaster Coordinating Council Head (LDCC )
Mr. Joselito del Rosario, Vice Mayor Gabby Bordado,
Storm Chaser himself Mr. Mike Padua, Provincial Disaster
Coordinating Council Head (PDCC) Luzena Bermeo, PAGASA
Camaligan Meteorologist Josephine Albaño and Hydrologist
Dan Ragodon, for the local government units. Several
people from different walks of life encountered by the
research team were also given the same chance of
answering the questions involving the research study.
