Description

This is a study about the budding local artists from Calamianes islands particularly Coron, whose hearts and minds are on promoting the conservation of natural cultural heritage of the region.

 The music of Tribu Calamianen is made distinct with the use of indigenous instruments. They perform to highlight the natural cultural diversity of the Calamianes. Their songs are in local dialects such as Cuyunen, Tagbanua, and Tagalog which revolve around people, festivals, customs, unique sites and local humor.

Documented interviews and performances wish to bridge the gap of generations not only in calamianes but also in the rest of the world.
