The group conducted an inexpensive and thorough research about the ecological condition of the 3 lakes in the Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, Region XII. An ocular inspection was made around the lake of Lake Sebu. For more information, the team searched the said topics in the internet. This was followed by an interview to the Local Government Unit of the Municipality of Lake Sebu. Information, and data were gathered from the different related offices namely: Municipal Agriculture Office(MAO) , Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC), and from the people who lived beneath the lakes. The obtained data were consolidated and interpreted for analysis.

Pre-Planning Stage

The IT Moderator, Mr. Gerardo N. Bagorio Jr. conducted an orientation to the said team and the coach regarding DPSA - SmartSchool Learning Challenge last October 27, 2008, and re-orientation for the finalization last November 12, 2008 at the Lake Sebu National High School Computer Laboratory Room.

The group having their pre-planning the following day October 28, 2008 at Science Laboratory room of the said school. They come up a plans for the ocular inspection, search in the internet, and schedule of interview in the said respondents.

* Gathering data, informations, and pictorials

The team started gathering the data last October 31, 2008 using a pump boat for ocular inspection around the Lake Sebu. After of inspection , they researched in the internet regarding water hyacinth and water lettuce. At the same day, the researchers conducted an interview. The pictorials were done by the assigned photographer in the group.

Post Planning

The collected data and informations handed to the team by the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office(MENRO), Municipal Agriculture Office(MAO) and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) were consolidated, analyzed, and interpreted by the group last November 9, 2008 at the Workshop Building of Lake Sebu National High School.

Final Planning

The group having their re-orientation for the finalization , and encoding of the data and the results last November 12, 2008 at the Computer Laboratory Room of the said school..
