Methodology

The website project involved research that allowed the students to learn more about their Ibaloi heritage. They attended the indigenous activity called ke’dot which exposed them to the different Ibaloi rites and rituals in Loakan. During the ke’dot they interviewed the mambunong (priestess) and elders who explained the significance of the rituals and the meanings of the activities. They shared the meals, watched the tayao (Ibaloi indigenous dance), and felt the camaraderie that pervaded the socialization activity. Then they wrote what they researched for the website.
