PTC
or Provincial Training Center is located at the boundaries of two barangays,
Tamayo and Tawiran, both from the town of Sta. Cruz, Marinduque.
“The
authentic fiesta town of the island, Sta. Cruz as the most progressive town
bustles with life. The people’s patiality for ‘ joie d’ vive’, the joy
of living is often carried to the extreme. Days of sumptuous food consisting
of suckling pig, crabs, shrimps and lobsters and other seafoods are not
uncommon here.”
This
is based from the little brochure-book “Marinduque Rising” of the 14th
Southern Tagalong Tourism Council Assembly. With these little information
about the little jolly town of Sta. Cruz, we can conclude that it is really a
very fertile place for a big plantation of technology and livelihood.
This

The
Provincial Training Center existed during the Japanese regime. It was the
place where the conquerors mined varieties of minerals especially gold. And as
decades passed by, the place became a large plate of gold grains of rice.
PTC
has a lot of abilities that benefit not only Marinduque but also other places
nationwide. PTC has it all!
It
is always open for different events such as trainings, meetings, seminars,
retreat, etc. with its wonderful and convenient facilities- fully air
conditioned rooms, clean mess hall, big training/meeting hall, and laboratory
and research room.
On
its other side are the fields of green and the life beyond nature. Green rice
fields, wide fish ponds, and breathtaking views are what we can enjoy all over
the place. The products and profits of PTC that beneficially affects many
people’s livelihood is discussed in this website.
A tour in PTC is a must-do activity. Not only it improves Marinduque’s field of Technology and Livelihood but it can also be a wonderful tourist spot for it has the spectacular mangrove forest and the fields and ponds itself.
