The focus story entitled "Kara ng Heneral" is an official entry for Doon Po Sa Amin Learning Challenge under the Arts and CultureTopic Category.The story contains the way or ways of the people in General Santos city in celebrating the Festival and how the generals (stands for the people in General Santos City ) joyfully celebrate and participate in each activities and contests that are being hosted by the City Department of Tourism. Kalilangan is one of the festivals in General Santos City, it is done during the month of February which serves as the foundation month and specifically February 27 as the foundation day of the city. Each year, General Santos City celebrates February 27 to commemorate the landing of the city's founder, General Paulino Santos, along with the first settlers from Luzon, at the shores of Sarangani Bay.
