Location: Lapulapu City , the prime tourist destination in Cebu, is located in Mactan Island , about 13 kilometers away from the Port of Cebu . It is bounded on the north and west by Mactan Channel, on the east by Bohol Strait , and on the south by the Municipality of Cordova and Bohol Strait .

Lapu Lapu City is now considered a highly urbanized city. In relation to this, more infrastuctures, factories and companies would rise. The contributionof these to air pollution is equal to 55.2%. Moreover, the number of vehicles (23.3%) in Lapu-Lapu would increase in number. Thus, air would be more contaminated.
In addition to that, Lapu-Lapu is said to be the best residential area in Cebu. Sad to say, the household contributes 14.5% to air pollution. The remaining 7% is given to other factors.
