Methodology

This research is essential in determining the city's history, origin and the lifestyle of Oponganons (citizens of Lapu-Lapu City). The team gathered information, facts, records and details from reliable sources. The team also conducted interviews and surveys about the city's writing system, native tongue and dialect.

Identification of the Population

The population under investigation included native oponganons who have stayed and lived in the city for a long time.

Instrument

The team also conducted interviews, surveys and thorough researching to recognize and distinguish Lapu-Lapu's history. All observations from the place and its people were also taken significantly.

Time Line

June 2008

During June 2008, the students were assigned to the different topics of the DPSA. Orientation of the students about the DPSA contest was also made so that the students would be familiar with what they would be doing.

July 2008

In July 2008, the students together with their coach planned on what were the things that would be included in their focus study. The coach discussed each thing that would be displayed in the site.

August 2008

During this month, the coach assigned the students in the different area of the focus study. Some of the students were assigned in making the article, editing the lay-out of the site, researcher and in editing the pictures that would be included in the site.

September 2008

The researchers started to study and search of interesting stuffs that might be included in the site. The writers started to make articles that would be posted in the site.

October 2008

In October 2008, the deadline of the submission of articles was set. Students were needed to pass the articles in order to be checked by the coach if the articles passed were nice.

November 2008

Checking of the things that had done by the students. Giving of comments and suggestions by the coach so that the site will be improved.

December 2008

In December 2008, the final editing of all the articles and lay-outing of the site were finished. During this month, the uploading of the site was also accomplished
