A Running Experience

In today's world, it is simple to lose track of our cultural heritage within the gigantic melting pot of modern society. In order to be aware of these happenings, we ourselves must know and ask why we sometimes do the things we do, perhaps we must first try to understand the culture from which we originated.
It was months ago when students from our school were all busy and hectic. Everywhere I go, I always saw them all working out for a project. In our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Lab, the entire room has been occupied by these action-packed students. They were like in a factory wherein everyone's focus with what they are doing. The teachers also are in the students' side guiding and advising them what to do. Everyone has got things to do and is functioning. The school is invulnerable and cannot be disturbed. I was surprise with this event until I remembered we will be joining a contest and will be making a project and the whole school will be involved, whoever you are and whatever your rank is. But it's good to see the school working as one and aiming for one goal.
The project that I was saying a while ago was the “DPSA Learning Challenge”. This was the reason why everyone is working very hard. When we started and knew it, we were very eager and thrilled with the project. Its purpose and intention is really momentous. It did introduce me to the things regarding my hometown, Lapu-Lapu City , which I have not known yet, especially in its language and literature. I've also discovered some information and facts about our dialect and our culture. The experience was really great and totally fun. We had interviews of some native Oponganons (people living in Lapu-Lapu City) and talked to them heart to heart.
We've been working this project for months and with the aid of technology, we've made it possible. We were working on our webpage to promote our place of origin and hometown. Showing the essence of teamwork was also there when we were working.
Finally, we are now done and ready to blow. The sun had set, all of those hours, weeks and months before, and the night smelled still of the heated busy day. Though it had been difficult but I know it's going to be worth it.
